Once again, Taylor Swift is breaking Billboard records. The magazine reports that The Tortured Poets Departmenthad the largest streaming week for an album. A secret double album will do that. TTPD debuted at No. 1, marking Swift's 14th chart-topping album. She ties Jay-Z now with the most no. 1 albums for a solo artist. The Beatles still are still at the very tippy-top with 19 chart-toppers. The Tortured Poets Department has become the top-selling album of 2024, followed by Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter.

The Tortured Poets Department had 2.61 album units earned, with almost 2 mil of those from traditional album sales. Vinyl sales represent 859,000 units. That is the largest sales week for an album on vinyl for the modern era. (Sorry, the environment/Billie Eilish.) The album's 31 songs were streamed 891.34 million times. Swift thanked the fans on Twitter, saying she was "completely floored" by the album's reception.
