Kyle Richards Removes Mauricio Umansky's Last Name From Social Media

We may be in between seasons of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but Kyle Richards always knows how to make headlines. The split from her longtime husband Mauricio Umansky has shocked the internet since it initially broke. While the details have been slowly trickling out about what’s going on, a little creeping on social media provides some clues as to what is happening behind the pearly gates of Beverly Hills.

Last we heard, Mauricio had moved out of the home he shared with Kyle and into his own bachelor pad condo. The dreaded “divorce” word still doesn’t appear to be on the table, despite it feeling like the inevitable ending to this. Now, Kyle subtly made a change to her Instagram account that provides some insight into her relationship. It seems like she’s going full speed ahead on the single train regardless of what the legal paperwork says.

Kyle is Miss Independent

Sometime this week, Kyle changed her Instagram name to remove “Umansky” from her page. She’s now, and forever, just Kyle Richards as far as the public is concerned. It is peculiar to look at her Instagram bio. It still reads, “Mom, wife, actor, author, producer, animal lover, a RHOBH, CAA.” She might as well have put the word “wife” in all capital letters because it already sticks out like a sore thumb.

Our best guess is that Kyle and Mauricio are trying to split up on their own terms. Kyle dropping her married last name seems to be more of a style choice. However, she’s keeping “wife” in her bio to shut down any inklings that divorce is in their future, whether or not it really is.
