George Clooney speaks on stage at the official opening of Roybal School of Film and Television Production Magnet in Los Angeles on Wednesday (September 14). The 61-year-old Ticket to Paradise actor joined his co-founders Mindy Kaling and Don Cheadle at the event, where the trio spoke about the importance of the school and welcomed students to the center. The specialized Los Angeles high school was launched as a “pipeline of diverse, career-ready young people” for Hollywood jobs, particularly below-the-line roles. Learn more about the school here! “We feel like there’s a real opportunity here, and it’s something that I think we missed in our industry, and I think it’s something that it’s pretty obvious what the solution is — and it’s starting earlier,” George explained to ET at the vent. He continued, “I just felt like, if you see a hole, you try to fill it, and this is one that it just seemed like — I was in London, and we were staffing up, and because it’s been a very busy time in the industry, it’s hard to find crew, and we need to do a lot better about inclusivity.” Click inside to see 20+ pictures of George Clooney, Mindy Kaling, Don Cheadle and more…
