Phoebe-Rae Taylor, Rosemarie DeWitt, Luke Kirby and Judith Light star in 'Out of My Mind,' on Disney+ Nov. 22
Jennifer Aniston lends her voice to a heartwarming new film starring newcomer Phoebe-Rae Taylor.
PEOPLE has the exclusive first trailer for Out of My Mind, about Melody Brooks (Taylor), a nonverbal middle school student with cerebral palsy.
Aniston, 55, voices Melody's inner monologue, and the teaser at one point has her point out: "Obviously this isn't my voice. I can't talk. And I can sound like whoever I want — so I picked Jennifer Aniston."
A synopsis for the film, based on author Sharon M. Draper's 2010 novel, says Melody "has a quick wit and a sharp mind, but because she is nonverbal and uses a wheelchair she is not given the same opportunities as her classmates."
But "when a young educator notices her student's untapped potential and Melody starts to participate in mainstream education, Melody shows that what she has to say is more important than how she says it."

Director Amber Sealey tells PEOPLE that making the movie with Taylor made "a profound impact on my life in so many ways, the most pronounced being that it has expanded my comprehension of humanity and our capacities for empathy, connection and growth."
"I hope people take away from this film that there are endless ways to communicate with each other, but we'll never get to better understanding until and unless we make the time to stop, wait and listen — and value what we discover as a result," Sealey says.
Out of My Mind's cast also includes Rosemarie DeWitt, Luke Kirby, Michael Chernus, Courtney Taylor and Judith Light.
