With 20 years of history to draw from, it's about time the Jonas Brothers started celebrating!

The "Waffle House" singers recently marked their 20th anniversary as a band — and the celebrations are just getting started. On March 23, the Jonas Brothers will host a special event called JONASCON in their native New Jersey, PEOPLE can exclusively announce.

The one-day only event will take place at American Dream, a massive entertainment and retail center in East Rutherford, N.J., in a nod to their early days of mall performances. JONASCON will feature live performances, DJ sets, Q&A panels, fan activations, pop-up surprises, immersive experiences and social guest appearances all in the name of their milestone anniversary.

Kevin, 37, Joe, 35, and Nick Jonas, 32, have sold more than 20 million albums since their 2006 debut It's About Time. Over the years, they've earned two Grammy nominations and released six albums, most recently The Album in May 2023.

On Wednesday, Feb. 12, the musicians shared an open letter with fans that reminisced on the past two decades, writing that it felt like "just yesterday we were loading up our family mini-van with a couple of guitars and copies of It's About Time CDs, en route to an afternoon performance at a local mall to play for anyone who would listen."

"We were chasing our dream to play music and connect with others in a deep way that only music can provide. We were teenagers then… actually, Nick wasn't even old enough to get into a PG-13 movie," they wrote. "In the years that followed, you've given us a thousand lifetimes of incredible memories. We wake up each day filled with gratitude that you've been on this 20-year journey with us. Together, we have celebrated wins, made mistakes, overcome obstacles, and grieved losses. Put simply: we've all grown up together."

The letter also teased a number of exciting developments to come in 2025, including new music from both the band and from the brothers as solo artists, a live concert album, a soundtrack, a holiday movie and Nick's return to Broadway in The Last Five Years.

In a video shared on Feb. 12, the brothers leaned into the nostalgia of the anniversary with a compilation video that featured memories from over the years, including clips from Camp Rock, old YouTube videos, getting a star on the walk of fame and special moments with fans.

The video also seemed to tease a new, unreleased song.

"We've grown up together," the boys say in a voiceover. "The world changed, and so did we."

Fans can register for free starting Friday at www.JonasBrothers.com. Those who register for JONASCON will have first access to additional, ticketed Jonas Brothers-themed events happening the weekend of March 22-23 at American Dream and in New York City.
