RUSSELL Wilson shared an emotional message to his wife Ciara as the NFL star celebrates a major occasion.
The New York Giants veteran quarterback marked a milestone on social media.
Wilson made a social media tribute to his 39-year-old singer wife on Sunday.
The 36-year-old and Ciara celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary on that day.
So Wilson put together a video on Instagram that showed various photographs and clips of the couple during their relationship.
In the caption, he wrote, “From the moment I met you, I knew God was showing me the way.
“Every day since has been a reflection of His grace – full of love, laughter, purpose, and the kind of partnership I used to pray for.
Wilson added, “Happy anniversary my queen @ciara. You light up my life in ways words can’t explain.
“Here’s to the journey we’ve walked … and the one we’re still writing together.
“I love you endlessly. [heart emoji.”
Wilson and Ciara first met in March of 2015 while at a basketball game in Wisconsin.
A year later, Wilson proposed to Ciara during a vacation.
In July of the same year, Wilson and Ciara had a secret wedding ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England.
The couple has three children: daughters Sienna, 8, and one-year-old Amora, and a son Win, 5.
Ciara is also the mother of son Future Zahir, 11, from her past relationship with rapper Future.
In April, Ciara told People that Wilson was organizing a vacation for their anniversary.
“We’re going to travel some,” she said.
“I don’t know where we’re going to go.
“… He does all the planning.
“So I’m excited for it.”
Wilson will have to get the vacation in order well before July 23, when he has to be in attendance at the Giants’ first day of training camp.
