FORMER Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte has gone public with his new girlfriend – and taken a swipe at his ex-wife.
Lochte, 40, has found love with kindergarten teacher Molly Gillihan, 37.
The pair went Instagram official in a post from the ex-Olympian over Fourth of July.
His ex-wife Kayla Rae Reid filed for divorce in March and sent a message over “betrayal.”
Lochte claimed that Kayla has blocked him on social media and accused her of seeking pity.
"She's the one that wanted this divorce in the first place and now she's playing this pity part,” Lochte told the Daily Mail.
“I want people to understand that Molly didn't take me away from my ex-wife.
“She didn't take me away from my kids.
"We got a divorce and I left.
“I moved down the street because I wanted to be in my kids' lives and I will always be in my kids' lives.
“There was no infidelity with Molly, like nothing. Molly didn't do anything wrong.
“She didn't pursue me, I pursued her. It was after I got served with the divorce papers.
“I was out of the house and living by myself. It was all after the fact.”
Lochte also spoke to PEOPLE and claimed he is “the happiest I’ve ever been.”
“It's so crazy this is happening so fast, our connection, but we can't hide it,” he said.
“Everything happens for a reason and it was God's way of saying enough is enough between both of you, between me and Kayla, of just being miserable and not happy and not living our best life.
“So we got separated and now I'm living my best life.”
Lochte was married to Reid for seven years and they share three children.
Reid is a former Playboy model with more than 300,000 Instagram followers.
She recently said, “Sometimes God allows the betrayal because it leads to the breakthrough.
“Divorce isn’t the end of my story.
“It’s the beginning of my rebirth.
“I didn’t choose to be broken, but I’m choosing to rebuild.”
