THE Philadelphia Eagles are in talks to send a Super Bowl champion to the San Francisco 49ers.
But the move will still cost the Eagles $9 million in cap space for 2025.
Defensive end Bryce Huff is expected to complete his move to the West Coast this week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
Huff, 27, was guaranteed $16.75 million in salary this year from his Eagles contract.
He signed a three-year deal worth $51 million when he joined Philadelphia last summer.
But Huff didn’t hit his stride in Philly and was inactive for the Super Bowl win in February.
If the trade goes through, the San Francisco 49ers will pay $7.95 million.
And the Eagles will pick up the remaining $9 million of the restructured contract.
The 49ers will also send a draft pick to the Eagles as part of the deal.
Huff started just six games for Philadelphia in 2024.
He finished the year with 13 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
The 27-year-old was signed from the New York Jets after four seasons in the Big Apple.
Huff was an undrafted free agent in 2020 but earned his spot as a starter.
A move to San Francisco would bring about a reunion with former New york Jets head coach Robert Saleh.
Saleh is back for his second stint as 49ers defensive co-ordinator.
He was fired by the New York Jets last October following a turbulent start to the year with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback.
Saleh worked as a consultant for Matt LaFleur at the Green Bay Packers over the winter.

In January, he returned to the 49ers as their defensive coordinator.
He previously held the role from 2017 to 2020 before earning the New York Jets head coach role.
The Eagles will kickoff the 2025 season on Thursday 4 September.
They will raise their Super Bowl banner before facing NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys.
Philadelphia won Super Bowl LIX with a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
