SSMB29: Producer teases Production Details of Mahesh Babu, SS Rajamouli's Movie

Celebrated filmmaker SS Rajamouli is all set for another magnum opus, starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Tentatively titled SSMB29, the movie is currently in the pre-production phase. While the makers of the film are tight-lipped about it, the producer recently spilled some beans.
KL Narayana is producing SSMB29. He recently talked about what it is based on in a recent interview. Moreover, he revealed how the movie came on cards over a decade ago.
SSMB29 to go on floors in a few months?
Talking to Mahaa Max in an interview, the producer revealed that SSMB29 is based in Africa. KL Narayana said, “The film will be set in the African backdrop and the script has shaped up well. Director Rajamouli Garu is too focused. He knows what he wants exactly. The movie will meet everyone's expectations.” “We know the amount of anticipation surrounding SSMB29 since it is coming after the Baahubali franchise and global sensation RRR. Fighters from India and Vietnam are doing rehearsals for various action episodes,” the producer added.
The producer’s ambition to make a movie with Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu dates back 15 years. He then said, “I planned to do a film with Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli 15 years ago, but it got delayed for multiple reasons. I gave them the advance 15 years ago, during which they promised to make a film with me. They stood by their words and are now doing the film under my Durga Arts banner. Both Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu reached great heights in life.” Moreover, Narayana was grateful to Rajamouli as he chose to do SSMB29 despite receiving offers from Hollywood. He said, “Rajamouli is now getting offers from Hollywood, too. Yet he decided to do SSMB29 with me. I am very grateful to Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli.”
During his visit to Japan, SS Rajamouli confirmed that Mahesh Babu is starring in his next. He even promised his Japanese fans that he would bring him to the country. Giving an update on the film, Rajamouli allegedly said, “We have completed the writing, and we are in the pre-production process. Only the hero is confirmed, and his name is Mahesh Babu.” More details on the project’s cast and plot are awaited.
